Inner Seasons Menstrual Mandala "Effervescence"Once a month I head off into the woods to honour the seasonal magic by making a mandala. It’s become a ritual for me on day 3 or 4 of my menstrual cycle. A way to connect my cycle to the Earth cycle, to give thanks for the month past, to offer prayers, to send out wishes. A meditation practice that I’ve woven into my Moon time.
The designs are never planned, I gather intuitively and only take what’s in abundance, giving thanks as I go.
The contrasting colours in this mandala really blew my mind. It was so vibrant I found myself scrunching my eyes like I was looking at the sunset.
